
Stormy - the newest addition to Chilly Pepper
Meet Stormy - a mustang baby born April 17th. When Chilly Pepper picked him up, he was cold, wet and had not eaten. They got him dry and warm and started feeding him Colostrum as soon as they could. Stormy's mama didn't want anything to do with him so his chances were slim. A visit to the vet revealed a bad case of pneumonia, followed by severe colds/congestion and a very sensitive stomach which causes problems on the other end. Victory for the Wildhorses
Wild horse advocates have scored a victory in Nevada in an ongoing legal battle with rural interests who they say want to round up federally protected mustangs across the West and sell them for slaughter. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco denied an appeal on Monday by the Nevada Association of Counties and Nevada Farm Bureau Federation.Ranchers in Nevada say the badly overpopulated horse herds are damaging the range and robbing their livestock of forage.T
