Federal legislation to ban the cruel transport of horses bound for slaughter plants outside of the US is needed NOW! If the SAFE Act isn't passed, over 170,000 horses a year will be inhumanely transported outside of US borders for up to 2 days at a time without water, food or rest, only to be led to an excessively traumatic death in international slaughter plants.
